Description
This customized attachment is designed for tension testing of short or fragile samples that are difficult to grip with standard chucks. The sample ends are fixed to separate left and right plates using adhesive, and tensile strength is measured by pulling the plates apart. A central groove also allows testing of thin, rod-shaped samples. The plates are easy to align, and adhesive residue can be removed, allowing repeated use.
